Orcas Hotel
Orcas, WA 98280
According to legend, the Orcas hotel is haunted by a former innkeeper named Octavia. Octavia is known to turn faucets on and off and her footsteps can be heard walking about the upper floors. Some guests have even seen an apparition of a woman in an old fashioned dress while others have heard an infant's cries coming from inside the walls.

I never tell anyone. Might not go into it much further.
On a weekend date, met a friend whose girlfriend was a bartender at the hotel. It was under remodel. (1988 or 89?) She showed us around.
Being in construction I walked down some back halls to look at the work. Opened a door. Bluish room, old fashioned bed frame with blue cover. Blue curtains on window with filtered sunlight shinning thru. Pretty woman in blue old fashioned dress sitting at table and mirror brushing hair. Smiled politely at me in mirror as if I was in the wrong place. I apologized and backed out closing door feeling foolish.
Told the friends. Was assured no rooms in that area. Went back to look and it was just a large storage closet with unfinished sheetrock. That's it, thanks. JMK
