According to the Southwest Washington Paranormal Researchers, in the 1950's or 1960's a man was murdered in front of the theater. It is believed that his ghost continues to haunt the theater, along with several other spirits. When researchers attempted to interact with the ghosts, they played music from different decades. When 1930's music was played, someone appeared on the balcony. However, when the group approached the mysterious figure, there was no one there. When they played back the tape, a man's voice was recorded saying "I'm sure I am dead." There have also been reports of a female ghost who haunts the bathroom. Tape recorders have captured the sound of someone slamming the bathroom stall open and closed when no one is in the room. Meanwhile, patrons of the bar have recounted the appearance of orbs, cold spots, disembodied footsteps and apparitions. The apparitions that appear most often are an old man in a dark suit, a black cat, two girls and man who stands on the balcony.

Upstairs balcony experience

My boyfriend and I went to the pub on a slow night and had the lasagna and a few beers upstairs in the balcony. The entire time I felt other people up there with us. I saw a few shadows that I thought were other people. Went to the bathroom and noticed there was nobody there but us. I could have sworn there were other folks. When sat back down there the shadows were again. I got spooked and said to my boyfriend there are shadow people up here with us.

Definitely Unsettling

I’ve been here a few times. Once on a field trip in middle school, I remember feeling super alert, and kept feeling the need to look at the balcony as if I was being watched there.

Came back as an adult, it was the last showing of the evening and there were about 4 other people. I was on the balcony and they were all downstairs, but constantly felt like someone else was there. The theatre pub has these old couches that we can sit in along with the chairs and even sitting in them I’d feel exposed.

I went to the upstairs bathroom multiple times, and every time I went I felt like I could hear movement of some kind for on the men’s bathroom, there seemed to be too much creaking even for an old building and I felt exposed sitting in there . The lights in the bathroom are already dim but they seemed to be flickering.

There’s mirrors in the lobby like area upstairs connecting the bathroom to the seating area that made me feel scared to look in, they’d give anyone that run straight to your seat type feel. I waited on one of the seats for a good minute after going to the bathroom see if anyone was up there at all (no one ever came out of the men’s bathroom) but could have sworn I saw shadows when I looked into one of the pictures that was out there, I couldn’t look into the window I just rushed to my seat, with the feeling of terror, like if I sat there any longer I’d be absorbed into it.

Now all of these things I experienced aren’t telling that there is paranormal activity but that feeling of being unsettled was SO prevalent. I’ve heard A LOT of other stories of people seeing something there, and all of my friends who’ve been say it feels off.

I would go again to feel spooked during a movie, I wish they did some more spooky movies there or events, but during October they host one event and it’s Rocky Horror Show and that’s usually it.

I WOULD RECOMMEND IT ONLY IF YOU’RE IN THE AREA

Home town goodie

I live in the city right by kelso, and as a younger kid our school would go there as a field trip type thing. I don't remember what show we were seeing but I remember rumors of the place being haunted. So I had to use the restroom upstairs, I heard like a person crying in the restroom or near the restroom. I wash my hands and looked around to realize that I'm by myself. I had my friends sneak up there and they said it just so much colder and my friend could of sworn she saw something. She rushed the group downstairs and we continued the show for school.
