According to legend, an apparition of an older woman wanders the inn. There have also been reports of girlish laughter and sometimes guests find indentations on their bed, left by ghostly visitors.

My daughter of four at the time we stayed here kept talking about her new girl friends she was making there. She was the only kid checked in at the inn. My wife and I both watch our daughter talk to what seemed like several kids and maintain this conversation till my wife picked her up to go downstairs for dinner.
